Our Story

Nick Harroz's dad taught him 50 years ago to "stack it high and sell it cheap" and they are still doing that today.

After more than 50 years of business we still continue to offer you FRIENDLY, FULL CUSTOMER SERVICE from the front door greeter to the package boy placing your groceries in your car!

In 1964 we opened our first Crest store on 7212 E.Reno. Crest currently sells groceries at six locations: two stores in Midwest City, one in Edmond, one in Moore and two stores in OKC.

It has been over 50 years since Nick Harroz began in the Grocery business. The first Store he had was Nick's Brett Drive Grocery opened in December, 1946 after his discharge from the navy. He was there for seven years, he then moved to another location and opened Nick's I.G.A. in 1953. In 1957 he changeed the name to Nick's Thriftwise. After 11 years at this location on 29th street he moved to 7212 E. Reno and opened Crest #1 in 1964. In 1984 he opened Crest #2 on Douglas, 1997 Crest #3 in Edmond, 2002 Crest #4 in Moore, 2004 Crest#5 on N.W. 23rd and 2005 on Rockwell.

To give you an idea how the stores came to be called Crest Foods, Nick had accumulated letters from the signs he had for each of his stores. He had 22 from nick's Brett Drive Grocery, 17 from Nick's IGA Foodliner and 25 from Nick's Thriftwise Food Market. He took those letters and from them came up with the name "Crest Foods".
