Bruce Harroz - President After more than 65 years of business we still continue to offer you FRIENDLY, FULL CUSTOMER SERVICE from the front door greeter to the package boy placing your groceries in your car!
|
Nick Harroz Jr. was born in 1921 in Wichita Falls, Texas. In 1929 his family moved to Oklahoma City and his father opened the family's first grocery store Fairview Grocery at Southwest 29th and Agnew. Nick's dad taught him to "Stack it High and Sell it Cheap!"
Nick and Cherry expanded their business during the 50s and early 60s and in 1964 they moved their operation to a new location in the Ridgecrest shopping center on Reno Ave in Midwest City. In order to save customers time, while writing checks, Nick shortened the name to Crest from the Ridgecrest shopping center. The new name brought a fresh image providing customers discount prices, clean stores, and fast friendly customer service.

Over the next few decades the company continued to grow and prosper. Two more locations were added in 1984 Crest #2 in Midwest City and 1997 Crest #3 in Edmond. In 1999, after decades as community leaders and successful business owners, Nick and Cherry retired and passed on their company and legacy to their son Bruce Harroz. The next generation brought new growth and strategic development. Bruce continued to follow his father's teachings with more stores and larger variety. In 2002 Crest #4 in Moore, in 2004 Crest #5 in Oklahoma City and in 2005 Crest #6 in North Oklahoma City. Crest #7 is the newest location built in 2010 in south Oklahoma City. Its upscale decor and fresh market approach coined its name Crest Fresh Market. The Harroz family promised its customers Rock Bottom Prices everyday, and Crest continues to deliver on that promise. |
